It is fully illustrated, showing how to safely perform every exercise using body weight only.
I've been a gym rat for over a decade and I've read many magazines and books about fitness. This one contains good exercises, but I already knew 75% of them. However, I've always incorporated calisthenic exercises into my weight-lifting routine, and I have done alot of research on calisthenics over the years. Although I knew a alot of the exercises he put a different spin on some of them. For instance, he does a type of push up called "fifteens" which I never thought to do. It's pretty interesting, but I won't give it away. There's great information in this book and clear illustration about the exercises. I can only give it four stars because I feel it is a bit over-priced. He does include some good routines that you can use, so not only does he show the exercises but he provides you with some workout options. Overall I think this is a good book to have around. You'll easily read it in under an hour, but the fitness that you gain will last a lifetime.
