If you're brand new to hooping or have always wanted to be able to waist hoop but found it unachievable, this is the hoop for you! The larger the hula hoop, the slower it rotates which takes the frustration out of learning how to move inside your hula hoop.This is also a great hoop for people, adults and youth alike, who enjoy body rocking (sustained waist hooping) for fitness and fun! This hula hoop is large, 38-46" measured by outside diameter (OD), but is not one of those mega weighted exercise hula hoops. Weighing in at around one pound, this hoop is the ideal weight for those just starting their hoop journey to get fit, have fun and get a mood boost. It's hand made and hand wrapped with a spiral tape job including cloth grip tape to help keep you in your hoop flow. This hoop also collapses down to about half its size with a push button connector, so you can coil your hoop down for easy travel. Hoops 42" OD and up can coil onto themselves for travel. Hoops under 42" OD include a hoop coiling extender to make coiling easier on you and take the strain off your hoop. Handmade in the USA with 3/4" inside diameter (about 1" thick outside diameter) 125 PSI black irrigation tubing (polyethylene/PE) that snaps together with a simple push button design, so your hoop can coil down for easy travel (ships collapsed)
Choose your hoop size measured in inches by outside diameter (OD) based on your body type and height. Petite adults do well with hoop sizes 38" to 40" measured by outside diameter (OD) while people who are taller or have a larger frame might enjoy a larger hoop size. A basic guide for hoop sizing is to measure from the floor to your belly button and add 1-2" to find your hoop size. If you want a slower, gentler rotation, or have a larger frame you can add another inch or two to that size
Heads up...this hoop is crafted in large diameters (3'2" to 3'10" OD), so you're going to want to be sure you give yourself some clearance when you start moving with it and get in your groove
Approximate weight is 15oz (38" OD hoop size) to 1 pound 2oz (44" OD hoop size). The tubing is hollow and can be filled with dried rice, marbles, etc (filler not included) to adjust its weight
