I have had skate boards and paddle boards for a long time. I am 45, 6’1” and 215lbs. In my opinion, the ability to effectively cross train has not been a viable option. When I compared the ergonomics of a paddle in water and pushing with a stick on land; the fluidity of the catch, dig, and then drive in a short stroke could not be emulated. The flexible prosthetic type foot solved that.The BraapStik is tough. I hate cheaply made things. I have a problem with breaking stuff whether I am careful or just over handling them. The BraapStik is built! I don’t foresee that being a problem. The quality and durability were tangible.There was one small issue when it arrived. It was a plastic collar between two of the sections for fit. It had broken.I called up Hank in Arizona from the website. Lo and behold, I was talking to the person behind the product. He quickly shipped me an entire replacement handle rather than just a collar, because it had already changed. He told me he was continually improving parts. His new handle and collar design were better. He said rather than describe it, he would just send me them. He did not have the molded version of the upgraded handle on hand, so he sent me a 3D printed version. What amazing service! Very cool person backing up a cool product and company.The conversation ended with him telling me I could still use the BraapStik as it originally arrived, so go ride. Then he told me he hoped there were some other people to get out and land paddle with. I love that sense of community. I would strongly recommend this product and company.
