I bought two of these stretch bands and didn't use them a single time for the first year; then when I decided to give them a try, I used only one, and as I stretched it with both hands, the ring inside the handle got loose and the stretch band detached from the handle. Definitely not meant to stretch it too much, which goes against the purpose of using a stretch band to excersice.
