These compression shorts are perfect for your exercise and workout routine. Composed of 84% Nylon/16% Spandex four-way stretch compression fabric, these shorts are designed to be functional as well as comfortable. Soft leg openings are coverstitched for comfort and an elastic waistband with an additional drawstring keep the shorts in place during exercise. Several color and print options are available in regular and plus sizes and each short is made in the USA. Why Compression? Spandex shorts increase blood circulation which oxidizes the muscles during exercise. More oxygen will reduce the buildup of lactic acid which can be painful. Compression from our bike shorts also supports muscles to reduce movement. The excessive movement of flesh during exercise can be tiring. These compression shorts can also help reduce delayed onset muscle soreness from exercise by compressing muscles to increase blood flow and heal muscles after workouts.

Very comfortable compression shorts. I searched quite some time to find some compression shorts that are suitable for biking but do not have built-in padding ... I own some padded undershorts already, so I just wanted a compression style short to go over *and* be suitable to use for running or going to the gym. If you search 'compression shorts' on Amazon, 99.999% of all results are biking shorts with pads built in, and while those are great for biking, padded shorts are not at all suitable for jogging or working out at the gym. These Aero Tech shorts fit my needs perfectly as multi-use shorts. As far as sizing is concerned, I ordered a one size up from the recommendations to be safe (I'm a 33 or 34 waist, and the sizing guidelines recommended a Medium, so I ordered Large) and these shorts fit comfortably around the midsection and gripped my thighs as one expects from compression shorts. I'm sure I could have squeezed into a medium, but I suspect that would result in a muffin top display that I can live without ;-)The fabric is smooth and stretchy, seams are flat and appear to be well constructed, no Irish pennants or overruns. I've only worn them a couple times so far so I can't speak to their long-term durability yet.**** Update 5/6/19 ****Yup, nearly 2 years later I'm dropping back in to say ... I've still got these shorts, still wear them to the gym on a regular basis. They've undergone nearly 2 years of regular use and washing and they show virtually no wear. Seams still completely solid, no unraveling, no pilling, no loose threads. Elastic compression may have softened up a bit over time but not to a degree that they no longer support as desired. The quality of the construction is impressive and I am very happy with these shorts.Doesn't stay up on stomach and slides down. Have to pull back up a lot.Excellent shorts for working out or running an OCR race! I used them to run in the Las Vegas Super Spartan Race. Lots of rocks at the obstacles, but these shorts held up very well! Since they are not Spandex, they are able to take a little more abuse. I normally wear a medium, but after reading the other reviewers comments on fit, I ordered a large. They fit perfectly after the first wash in warm water and they did not stretch loose during the Spartan Race even after getting wet. There are no pockets, which is a good thing if you are running an OCR. Pockets collect mud and debris. These also allow you to run commando! No need to wear undies or a base layer. They did not show off my junk when wet! And since they are compression and not loose, there is less likelihood of snagging them on the barb wire! Was very happy with previous purchase of Aero Tech's slightly longer legged Unpadded 8 Panel ProShorts, so decided to give these a whirl too. Funny but once they're on, they seem to reach almost as far down the leg, almost to the knee. Similar enough feel to the Pro version that I can't really notice much of a difference despite the drawstring waist and simpler cut. Am waist 33", size M fit fine and work just as well for riding my recumbent bikes or any such activity. Easy care, don't bleed when washing and dry quick on the line. Drawstring a continuous loop so no loose ends. Bought two pair and will probably order more if wifey will kindly release the funds, ahem.Perfect sport shorts. Amazingly Comfortable. Really well made. I use them for HIIT workoutsThese shorts have far more pros than cons.Pros: (1) Made in USA, (2) made of nylon, not polyester or cotton, which prevents rashes (and feels awesome), (3) the black and blue colors look great together, (4) the waistband doesn't squeeze too hard like some compression shorts, (5) the legs are not overly long like other compression shorts.Con: Aero Tech should redesign these shorts to add a pouch for a man's junk. That wold be a big improvement. To call these "compression shorts" is a great overstatement. They're very nice, close fitting bike style shorts but lack the firmness and elasticity that I would expect in a true compression short.Perfectly fine for wearing around the house or the gym, but don't expect any magic.I got them for cycling and they are great for that. They have no padding, I don'tlike padding. Maybe you do. The legs ride up a little. But I don't mind showinga little more leg on a sunny summer day.Yes I would buy another pair and tell a buddy.
