These are hefty solid steel bars.As some other reviewers have pointed out, the thread edges are pretty rough and can possibly cut your fingers if you're not careful. It's nothing some fine sandpaper sanding down the rough edges on the threads on both bars can't fix though. The rough thread edges may wear down with use (e.g., spinning the collars when adjusting weights on the dumbbell enough times) but I'll play it safe and lightly sand down the thread edges to avoid any mishaps down the road.The knurled hand grip portions are ok as is and feel pretty comfortable.The four collars, on the other hand, were finished nicely and fit easily on the dumbbell ends. No modifications required.Sand the thread edges down so you won't accidentally cut your finger(s) and I'm sure you'll be as happy as I am with these pair of dumbbell bars from Sunny Health & Fitness.These things are well built. Better than the ones that came with my workout gear years back .The screw on ends loosen as you use this product. That makes the weights shift around. Suggest getting ones with rubber handles, they wont last as long, but the weights stay in placeIt is a great product.Muy buenasDefinitely a reasonably price for these dumbbell handles. But my biggest gripe is that they do not have the black rubber rings to go on the inside of the handles so this way the weights will sit on their snug while you're lifting them. They loosen around with every movement and definitely makes it uncomfortable as well as unsafe to useThey need to be tightened after every set. I’m going to look into other collars for the handles or possibly return. The knurl and the handles themselves are great but the fail to lock enough to complete sets with confidence is a liabilityThese are solid steel and very strong. Knurled grip is nice but at 1 inch likely a tad narrow for large hands. Very good value for a well made product.I've been weight lifting for 22 years abd have used every type 9f curl bar you can't think of. Disregard the negative comments on here. I've been using mine and have zero issues. Yes the collars loosen SLIGHTLY. The guy saying he dropped 10Lb plates off of his because the collars were "so loose" was either making it up, was swinging them like nuts or isn't strong enough to properly tighten them lol. Every set I have the tighten them (the gap in the pic after one set). If that ok with you, otherwiae they are good. For me, they are garbage.Update: I was doing curls, the locking collars are so bad that one literally came undone during the curl and the the weight slipped off (10lbs plate) and landed on my foot. Buyer beware.People have been charging ridiculous prices for weights since the pandemic started. They know people want to use the time to exercise and they want to cash in on it. Prices for plates, bars and benches have doubled, tripled and even quadrupled in the past 4-5 months. I managed to sneak in a order for these dumbbell bars when Amazon got another load in. I am very pleased I got them. I needed smaller dumbbells for flys and other shoulder exercises and these are great! They are solid, the collars have been staying put and they have good knurling. Bravo Sunny!These are a goos set of dumbbells. Some reviews state that the spin lock loosen as you use them but that happens with most spin locks. I've now used mine for over 2 months and the loosening of the locks is insignificant. Maybe 1/10 of a turn after doing 3 sets of 12 curls, not enough to care about.
