This is my 2nd Charge 2. The first one was still working but I broke off the piece that you connect the wristband with and wanted another. I lost 75 pounds in a year and I give my fitbit with the Fitbit site where you see all your data the reason. I'm 68 and thought I knew all there was to know about dieting and losing weight. Well I didn't but now I finally understand what it takes to lose 1 pound in a week. Yep, that's not much but not real hard to accomplish. The site is full of neat things to see about what's going on with your health. I have hyperthyroidism which causes a fast heartbeat and with my Fitbit was able to monitor my heartbeat and inform my doctor. My info caused my doctor to send me to a specialist and now with medication my heart no longer beats at 114 bpm.Using the step count and website info I selected 4000 steps a day to lose 1 pound a week. Yes that's slow but I wanted to eat what I normally do but change how much and how often. I knew from past dieting I just gained it right back as soon as I started eating like I did before losing weight. In other words eating a baked potato with butter was something I would eat again once off my diet. So I used the Fitbit website and put in what I ate everyday (which I normally hate to do) but didn't seem so bad when I was customizing on my own terms. It took a few weeks but I found out I needed to make some changes. Not what I ate but how much to eat to lose 1 pound a week, walking at least 4000 steps a day. All I can say when I finally reached my 75 lbs goal it hadn't seemed like I had been through torture but through enlightment. My Fitbit worked great each and everday. When I first got it I had to contact customer support and let me tell you they were very helpful. Let's face it I literally didn't know 1 thing about a Fitbit when I got it. All in all I didn't fight I needed to help myself and I decided I would figure out how to accomplish weight loss without being mad that I couldn't eat haphazardly and expect a healthy body. Love Fitbit!
