I have had this watch for about two weeks and at this point I feel that it exceeds expectations. I was hesitant in ordering this because of the average reviews or general lack of reviews but I am glad that I did.Normally I want a watch to just be a watch but I hate being tied to my phone so I figured it was time for a change. As much as I thought that I would hate going from one of my conventional watches to a digital I really haven’t and, I find that the features are very useful. All-in-all the transition has gone easily.Right out of the box I charged the watch and did not touch it until it was fully charged. While it was doing this I downloaded the Timex app to my phone. When the watch was done I paired them and the connection has been stable. I run multiple Bluetooth links in my house and do not have any problems. I can play music from my phone by Bluetooth and the watch will connect to the phone and still provide text messages, calendar alerts, and, allow me to control the music. There have been no problems with this. The Bluetooth range is good, around 30 feet. If you use airplane mode the watch/ phone connects very easily. If you disconnect the watch/ phone they have trouble reconnecting and must be paired again.Battery life is fair, about two to three days. I am following the recommended procedure to let it run down to no battery bars before recharging for the first three charge cycles. The Bluetooth does run the battery in the phone down quite fast and I find that the phone needs to be plugged in whenever I get a chance.Watch features appear to be good and well thought out. I like the many options on stopwatch/ split timer display. The watch gives you about five different ways to display stopwatch, split, average lap time, etc… I have not run with a hear rate monitor. The watch also gives you several options to display time and a second time as well. The primary time you display also updates off of your phone so there is no need to update it manually. The watch also communicates with STRAVA which has been seamless. It provides distance on the watch face but all of the metrics are on the phone. I am fine with this as it is smart to run with a communication device. The watch provides a review function where you can check out your splits. At work I get all of my messages and can keep my phone on silent. This is massive for attending meetings. In the morning I don’t have to get up to check my calendar as I can do it straight from my wrist.Overall I am pleased with the performance of the watch and I expect it to continue to function as advertised.Lovely watch, but stops working properly quickly. This is the second watch I have had of this type & model and both have stopped working in the same way.The display look is dull and boring, not impressed
