Titan Fitness Olympic Bar 60-inch Chrome Plated Heavy Duty Weightlifting Bar - Perfect for Home Gym, CrossFit & Strength Training

I needed a quality barbell for a more restricted space and the Titan 60" Olympic delivered the perfect combination of value, construction, sleeve space, spin and knurl. The sleeves are completely smooth which makes for easy load/unload of Olympic plates. The knurl is right in the middle of the spectrum and provides just enough grip without being sharp or painful. The bar does NOT have a center knurl which is exactly what I wanted; I won't be squatting with this bar that much, but it is perfect for deadlifts, overhead pressing, rows and bench work. The sleeves have just over 10" of loading on each side, so you'd likely overrun the rating of the bar before you ran out of plate space. All of my lockjaw collars work with this bar. The brass bushings for the sleeves are smooth and quiet with an easy free spin. The bar I received was just shy of 29 pounds (28.4) and was exactly balanced. The chrome finish is clean and consistent across the entire bar. I can't comment on "whip" because I don't use the bar in that fashion.Critiques? I don't have any serious ones, especially not at this price point, but if I had to make a list: - the end cap covers are a little loose where they fit with the compression c-rings so they do rattle a little bit when moving the bar around - sleeve slop is about 1/8" which is entirely acceptable - there are no grip marks on the bar, but it isn't a competition bar so who cares? - doesn't fit in a standard rack, but it's a shorty bar so that's kind of the whole point - the bar comes covered with rust preventive oil which must be wiped off before useFor the money, this one can't really be beat.
