The left foot panel was broken when I opened the box. I sent an email to [email protected], but no response. I send a message through Amazon customer service. Still no response. Be careful. Basically, there is no customer center.No instructional manual, so I should assemble it based on the picture of the product. I am not sure if the product was a used one.After two days, I saw rust in the shaft in the water tank. The water becomes pink. I am not sure if the shaft is good stainless steel. it should be protected by other surface materials (e.g., epoxy). I sprayed WD and saw how it works.I am too lazy to return this defect. I do not expect a high-quality product. The general structure is not bad, but no customer service and defective components.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------After one month, the customer service center provides the replacement. I gave 4 stars instead of one star. Overall, the product is good, but the provided water purifier should not be used in the water tank. If so, you can see the rusted shaft. Instead, put WD into the water and you will not see the algae.After having some hiccups with the delivery condition of the product from Amazon, I was directed to contact the supplier. I did so! After 30+- days (to be fair-it was over the holidays) the new parts came and I installed them. Quiet machine with a good balance of resistance and support. Zoe, the customer support person, was quick with responses and delivery of those items (missing or broken). I use this machine daily with intervals or straight long rows. Very affordable machine and seems like it should last for some time.This would be perfect except for one major flaw. It has no resistance levels. What you see if what you get. My husband would not EVEN be interested in this because the pull is just too easy for him and barely hard enough for me. As time goes on, I predict I will not like it. Wish I could turn back time.Perfect for my garage gym. Storing it out there so in the warmer weather I can roll it outside. Super sturdy & easy to move! My husband was able to assemble within 30 min. Folds up nice and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Highly recommend30 days in and some issues that Amazon cannot solve because they don’t have a contact for the manufacturer. Will try and resolve directly but no response so far, but another 60 days on the return window yet.1. Seat - Will cause issues for anyone with thin padding on their rearend. The seat is very firm and has no shaping to it (like a bike seat) so after just one use I had a blister where my coccyx took a pounding! Using now with a padded cushion and it’s bearable.2. Rowing computer - While many of the lower end rowers have just a timer and distance count, this one has a “Dedicated for Rowing” display. Distance and time are fine, but SPM amd Avg /500M etc are just garbage instantaneous readouts…SPM should be around 25 but is varying anywhere from 200-300 ( guess there is no decimal point or average)Otherwise sturdy machine, no defects barring a couple of loose screws on the foot rests, and good rowing action. Amount of resistance not really adjustable unless you want to gradually add more water over time, but since the water level at max only cover half the paddles, there’s not south scope for adjustment.No tension settingsThis water rowing machine was easy to set up with the included instructions. One end had rubber pads already screwed in for me so I didn't need to do that as the instructions mentioned. The rower has a much more pleasant sound and is quieter than the air based ones at the gym but you can still head the water sloshing around if you like that. It does make it feel like your actually in the water a bit.The digital monitor is easy to use and auto shuts off which is nice. Overall the build quality of this equipment is excellent and I don't see any defects in the manufacturing. The seat is also comfortable to sit in for a while. I have noticed it does have a bit more friction to the rolling but that could just be that it needs to break in, but if anything that just adds to the workout so I don't see any issues.
