I love these for the gym, the 5" length is hard to find in fun colors and prints that won't break the bank. I sized up for a little more room in the thighs and to keep the pattern from going weird during squats and such.I'm 5'9", 150lbs with thick thighs. I ordered a small at first based of my pants size which is a 2-4. I ended up returning and getting an XL after looking at some other brands size charts. They fit well, like the length and love the pattern. They ride up easily which is annoying.I picked this XS because I read it was mid-waist, but it’s high waist and seems to be for people with bigger thighs.Love them! Great fit, and colors. Very vibrant. Material a bit thicker, and sturdy. Not a huge amount of stretch to them. I have been buying a L when ordering from department stores, and those fits great. These I ordered in XL, and they fit great, but not loose. (I like a soft feel, not tight feel)I love the length too. Not too short, not too long.I love love love the colors, and the price, so I may later on order in different prints and colors.I hate how the new style is for all athletic shorts to be high-waisted. Especially in the summer, it just makes me hot and uncomfortable. These sit perfectly on my hips , they are comfortable and allow for the range of movement required by yoga/gymnastics. I wear them when I work out and also just out casually playing outside with my daughter. Highly recommendI ordered the 5” inseam with this style and another style. This pair was significantly tighter than the other style (blue spacey color). And as I scrolled the other MMA gear styles, I noticed this style also comes in 3.5 “ inseam. So apparently I got the wrong size even though I ordered 5”. And that is why the reviews say buy a size up than normal.
