We analyze every fabric in-house for UPF and UVA/UVB ratings. Each one is tested 10 times, in at least 3 spots (more for stripes and multicolor patterns or prints), to verify true UPF 50+ protection. I like this shirt on my 40in 36lb 3yo. It's hard to find a ventilated sun shirt in his size. The collar even stands up a little and protects his neck a bit. I wish the torso were longer, his back is exposed if he bends over.
